Artist Talk and Reception: Saturday, August 11 at 3pm, with a reception from 4-6pm

ZEN features Hart James' work from a December Fellowship Residency at Vermont Studio Center. Fresh and spontaneous in stroke, James’ paint application makes intentional reference to Japanese Zen painting: oil paint applied in light washes, dripping off the canvas, a statement on the impermanence of our existence.
