We interact with it constantly: reading the morning news, receiving receipts for purchases, reading a book in the evening, wrapping a gift, opening a card, writing in a journal, getting a cup of coffee. We also experience its disappearance: newspapers, bank statements, bill payments, books, grocery bags. Whether essential to our daily lives, a mere frivolity, or a relic of the past, paper leaves a mark and makes a trail. This exhibit will explore the various qualities of this simple and unassuming entity.
